How do customer payments work?
Customer payments are a Pro feature. After Stripe verifies and activates a contractor’s connected account, the contractor can offer a deposit or balance payment on an accepted proposal. The customer opens the proposal link and pays through Stripe Checkout.
Can customers pay over time or by bank?
Eligible customers may be able to apply to pay over time with Affirm or Klarna, or pay from a US bank account through ACH, in Stripe Checkout. Availability, approval, fees, and timing depend on Stripe, the provider, and the connected account. Contractors can choose whether to offer financing. Explore payment options.
Do contractors need to create a Stripe account?
WorkCraft AI starts Stripe-hosted onboarding for a connected account. Stripe collects identity, business, and payout information and may require verification. New connections use the Full Stripe Dashboard, accessed with the contractor’s own Stripe credentials at dashboard.stripe.com. An existing connection may keep its previous Dashboard access method.
Where does the customer’s money go?
Stripe processes each payment directly on the contractor’s connected Stripe account and pays out according to Stripe’s schedule. WorkCraft AI does not receive or hold customer funds.
Do customers need a WorkCraft AI account?
No. Customers can review an estimate and use Stripe Checkout from its proposal link without signing in to WorkCraft AI. Stripe collects their payment details; WorkCraft AI does not store card or bank-account numbers.
What fees apply, and who handles refunds?
Stripe processing fees apply; WorkCraft AI adds no per-payment fee. Pro is billed separately. Manage refunds and disputes in Stripe. Learn about payments and fees.
